The University of Prince Edward Island Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering has an opening for a Sessional Instructor for the Winter 2025 Semester for the following course:

ENGN 1340 – Engineering Mechanics II: Dynamics
This course is a study of mechanics concerned with the state of motion of rigid bodies that are subject to the action of forces. The course considers the kinematics and kinetics of motion applied particles and rigid bodies particularly as it relates to engineering applications and design. Topics include rectilinear and curvilinear motions, normal and tangential coordinates, dependent motion, Newton's Laws of Motion, energy and momentum methods.
Qualified individuals must have a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering discipline. A Master’s Degree in a relevant engineering discipline, or an equivalent combination of qualifications and experience, would be considered a strong asset. Candidates should be registered as a Professional Engineer on Prince Edward Island. Professional engineering experience is expected and will be an important consideration in the selection process.
Note: Members of the Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering’s Sessional Roster will be given priority in consideration for this position.
