EC-03 - Leading to target level of EC-06 (Development Program) $76,167 to $86,183 (This salary range applies to EC-03 group and level. The target level of EC-06 has a current salary range of $111,057 to $128,799)
Graduates with a minimum of a master's degree within the economics, public policy/administration, international relations/studies, and finance disciplines or a law degree are eligible to be hired under the Economist and Policy Analyst stream and are involved in all aspects of the Department's work. They conduct policy analysis and forecasts, perform research, and provide recommendations on a wide variety of public policy issues. Recruits can choose to specialize in a particular area of the Department of Finance Canada or can gain experience in a number of different areas.
