History professor Dr. Edward MacDonald's 'last lecture' to University 100
Dr. Edward MacDonald, CM, an award-winning professor of history at UPEI and Island historian, will give his “last lecture” to students in UPEI’s University 100 program on Wednesday, March 13, at 4:30 pm in SDU Main Building, Room 117. The lecture is open to the public.
Dr. MacDonald, affectionately known as “Dr. Ed,” will speak about the “History of Higher Education on PEI,” providing history and context about the development of higher education and the origins and mission of UPEI. He has been delivering this lecture to students taking University 100 for more than 15 years. This will be his last lecture to University 100 before his upcoming retirement from full-time teaching.
Refreshments will be served in the Faculty Lounge, SDU Main Building, Room 201, after Dr. MacDonald's presentation.
