Looking to build your skills and understanding around diversity, equity, and inclusion? The Experiential Education Department is offering the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) training and certification program through the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion's See Different program. This free certificate program is open to UPEI students and staff under the age of 24.

This is a beginner-level certificate with two interactive online workshops (2.5 hours each) and a final assignment. The total amount of work that will be required to complete this certificate, including the pre-workshop activities and the final assignment, is eight hours. The two workshops for this cohort will take place during the UPEI mid-semester break, on February 22 and 23, from 1:00-3:30 pm (Atlantic Time). 

The first workshop will focus on dimensions of diversity, and the second on stopping the cycle of prejudice, bias, and discrimination.
