National Indigenous Peoples Day
Event Date:
Monday, June 21, 2021
National Indigenous Peoples Day (June 21) is a day that unites us in reflecting and recognizing the important contributions Indigenous peoples have made throughout history and throughout communities from across Canada. It is also an opportunity to listen and to learn from Indigenous Peoples, to hear their oral histories and traditions, and to reconsider the active role we all need to play to move forward.
This year marks the national 25th anniversary of celebrating the rich heritage, diverse cultures, and outstanding achievements of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples on June 21.
