Residence and Housing
Residence Life
Residence Life at UPEI is far more than just a place to live. It’s an close-knit community where students connect and support one another as they grow as individuals. The friendships and experiences formed in residence will remain with students for life.
Life in residence immerses students in campus life, and allows them direct access to social and support programs. UPEI residence is led by two live-in Coordinators who help to oversee and support the students, as well as a team of student Residence Life Advisors who live and work in each building.
Please visit the UPEI Residence website for specific information about residence buildings, room types, fees, and meal plan options.
Off-Campus Housing
Students choosing to live off-campus will enjoy UPEI’s central location within the city, as well as Charlottetown’s public transit system and direct proximity to walking trails. A variety of apartment and housing options exist within walkable distances to UPEI.
Visit the Off-campus Housing website for more information.
Homestay
Homestay is a great accommodation option for international and domestic students who prefer a “family-like” living arrangement. We have a wide variety of host families registered in our program who love meeting people from around the world and sharing our beautiful island with them.
Visit the Homestay website for more information.
Parking
Parking Services are available on-campus, and allow students to quickly and safely get from their car to class. Students can utilize metered pay-per-use parking, or may opt to purchase a parking permit. Detailed information about parking options, fees, enforcement, and locations are located on UPEI’s Parking Services web page.
