UPEI Security Services reminds the University community that the road that runs around the perimeter of campus is considered a provincial highway and is subject to the Highway Traffic Act. Of particular concern is that some roadway users are not stopping at stop signs which are often adjacent to pedestrian crosswalks. Please come to a full stop at all stop signs to ensure both your safety and that of pedestrians. Also, do not use cell phones while operating a vehicle. UPEI security officers patrol Perimeter Road and may issue fines for traffic violations under the Highway Traffic Act. Allen E.S.
