What brought you to UPEI? In other words, why did you choose to study here?

I was born and raised on Prince Edward Island, and after spending a few years in larger centres, I was drawn back by the chance to reconnect with the Island community and pace—and by the appealing design, length, and interactivity of UPEI's MBA in Global Leadership program.

A mentor of mine recently summed up their experience with the University as follows: "Never underestimate UPEI."

What kinds of opportunities have you experienced because you're studying at UPEI, or because of the Island location?

The scale of the program and the university in general allowed me to develop personal connections with my classmates and professors, engage meaningfully with the community, and strike a balance of work, rest, and opportunities to apply what I’ve learned.

Charlottetown offers a vibrancy that’s often unexpected from smaller cities, and that’s only poised to keep growing! There are plentiful chances to pursue your interests and explore new ideas in the city and on campus.

What's unique about UPEI, in your experience?

UPEI is constantly growing, innovating, and tackling new challenges, and it makes for a fascinating blend of rich history and tradition coupled with a curious, ambitious eye on the future. As a student, this attitude of growth and opportunism is contagious.
