UPEI’s Giving Tuesday 2024 campaign deemed a huge success
UPEI’s 2024 Giving Tuesday campaign was an unprecedented success, raising a total of $44,010 from 54 extremely generous donors on the Global Day of Philanthropy. An anonymous donor pledged to match Giving Tuesday donations up to $20,000, making it by far the largest year yet for UPEI.
The donations will be dedicated to the University’s $15-million Robertson Library Revitalization campaign.
“With so many deserving charitable organizations vying for donor support on this special day, we were thrilled to achieve remarkable visibility for our initiative, thanks to the dedication of our team and the generosity of our supporters,” said Kathy Weatherbie, UPEI’s senior development and donor relations officer. “Our message was widely spread, which is wonderful awareness for the Robertson Library and our campaign. It is so heartwarming to see the amazing support for our library. Heartfelt thanks to all who played a role in making this day of giving a success!”
The Robertson Library has been at the heart of the UPEI campus for nearly 50 years, supporting student success. Founded with a vision for change, the library has continued to evolve with the times, providing outstanding resources, innovative digital spaces, and welcoming environments for all students, faculty, staff, and community users.
