Members of the UPEI community came out in large numbers to attend a barbecue on Monday, June 24 at the UPEI Chaplaincy Centre to celebrate inclusion and hospitality.
UPEI Chaplain Sister Sue Kidd and the UPEI Student Union organized the “Respect the Space, No Room for Hate BBQ” to “promote the good at UPEI.” She added, “I’m overwhelmed with a sense of deep peace, community, and gratitude.”
The lunch-time gathering was deemed a tremendous success with many faculty, staff, and students enjoying food, fun, and conversation. Outdoor games were provided by UPEI Athletics and Recreation, and food was
served by UPEI Student Union members and staff along with volunteers from the campus community.
