Paige Chisholm and Ehab Moustafa named Panther Subway Athletes of the Week
Every week, UPEI Athletics and Recreation recognizes two student-athletes for their achievements and dedication to their respective sports. This week’s UPEI Panther Subway Athletes of the Week for October 25 to 31 are Paige Chisholm (cross country) and Ehab Moustafa (men’s soccer).
Chisholm is a DVM student from Port Williams, Nova Scotia, studying at UPEI’s Atlantic Veterinary College and a member of the Panthers’ cross-country team. She finished third in the 8 km race this weekend at the AUS Championship in Moncton, earning her an invitation to the U SPORTS nationals and her third UPEI Athlete of the Week nod. “Paige has had a consistently outstanding season,” said head coach Mike Peterson. “Her ability to balance her busy schedule as a first-year AVC student with her training is extremely impressive. We have three more weeks to train and get her ready for U SPORTS, followed by what I’m anticipating will be an equally stellar indoor season.”
Moustafa is a first-year kinesiology student from Stratford, PEI, and a striker on the men’s soccer team. He scored both goals in the Panthers’ 2–0 win against Acadia this weekend, securing a playoff spot for the team. This is his second Athlete of the Week award in two weeks. “Ehab was outstanding, scoring two big goals to take us into the playoffs,” said head coach Lewis Page.
