The Island Lecture Series celebrates Poetry Month
The April edition of the Island Lecture Series will celebrate Poetry Month and features two Island poets in conversation with a third. Laurie Brinklow and Bren Simmers will read from their new books, My Island’s the house I sleep in at night (Island Studies Press, 2021) and If, When (Gaspereau Press, 2021), in a conversation hosted by Richard Lemm. Topics will range from the role of story, place, and history in their poetry to their own poetic practices. There will be an opportunity for questions from the audience.
This session will be held virtually via Zoom on Tuesday, April 27 at 7 pm ADT. Full details are available at islandstudies.com/islandlectureseries. This virtual event is free to attend. All are welcome. Advance registration is required. Please visit http://bit.ly/ILS-april2021 to reserve your spot.
