Zack Montreuil awarded the Frank H. Sobey Award for Excellence in Business Studies
Zack Montreuil, a fourth-year BBA student in UPEI’s Faculty of Business, was awarded the prestigious Frank H. Sobey Award at a ceremony earlier this year.
The Frank H. Sobey Award is awarded each year to up to eight undergraduate business students attending an Atlantic Canadian university who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement in business and dedication to extracurricular, community, and entrepreneurial activities. The scholarship amount has gone up in recent years to $30,000 from $25,000.
“Being a recipient of the Frank H. Sobey Award means so much to me,” said Montreuil. “It is a symbol of all my hard work over the past few years at UPEI. Be it my accomplishments in business studies, or positively affecting my community in extracurricular initiatives, or my dedication to entrepreneurship, this award recognizes all of my efforts and will surely propel me forward in all of my future endeavours.”
“We are very proud of the excellent track record that our business students have had with this prestigious award,” said Dr. Tarek Mady, interim dean of the Faculty of Business at UPEI. “I congratulate Zack on this huge accomplishment and for all the hard work he’s done during his time at UPEI.”
Montreuil is pursuing a double specialization in marketing and finance, as well as a minor in economics. He is also in the UPEI co-op program and is the vice-president of finance of Enactus-UPEI.
