Cheer on your #1 ranked UPEI Panthers at the AUS Basketball Championship

A pair of weekend wins put the UPEI women’s basketball team alone in first place on top of the AUS standings. Now it’s time to get ready to head to Halifax for the AUS Basketball Championship this weekend at the Scotiabank Centre!

The Panthers’ first game this weekend is the semi-final on Saturday at 1:00 pm against the winner of UNB (4th) and CBU (5th)  in the quarter-final. The championship game is the next day at 1:00 pm.

UPEI Athletics and Recreation is offering a student fan package for just $20. The package includes floor seats in the UPEI cheering section, a Go Panthers Go! T-shirt, UPEI noise-makers and swag, and access to specials at UPEI House, located at the Orso Pub & Grill just across the street from the Scotiabank Centre.

The student fan package is first-come, first-served to the first 50 students to drop by Panther Central in the Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre or to call 902-566-0368.

Not a student, but still want to catch the action? Visit the AUS website for ticket information. Be sure to purchase tickets in sections 6 and 7, and don’t forget to join us in the Orso Pub & Grill, the Panther home away from home during the championship weekend.  There will be a short pep rally at the Orso starting at 11:30 am on Saturday.
