UPEI announces the Panther Subway Athletes of the Week, November 4 to 10
Every week, UPEI Athletics and Recreation recognizes two student-athletes for their achievements and dedication to their respective sports. Congratulations to Taylor Gllis and Kameron Kielly, the UPEI Panther Subway Athletes of the Week for November 4 to 10.
Gillis is a second-year forward on the UPEI women’s hockey team and a business major from Summerside, PEI. Gillis scored a pair of goals over two games this weekend, including the game-winner against Université de Moncton Saturday evening. “Taylor scored the winner against U de M and scored on the power-play to get us within one point in the standings of St. FX,” said coach Bruce Donaldson. “She had a strong weekend with some great play-making.”
Kielly is a third-year forward on the UPEI men’s hockey team and a business major from Charlottetown, PEI. Kielly recorded a remarkable 8 points (2 goals, 6 assists) over the Panthers’ last 3 games and led the team to a 2–0–1 record, including a 6–3 win over the St. FX X-Men. “Kam played a big part in our team’s success this week,” said coach Forbes MacPherson. “He continues to play the right way and is being rewarded for his efforts statistically.”
Go Panthers Go!
