Dr. Mike West, community care clinician at the Atlantic Veterinary College, will give a public workshop about the importance of dental care for pets on Thursday, November 21, at 7 pm, in AVC's Lecture Theatre A.

Good dental health is just as important for pets as it is for people, but it is often overlooked. By the age of three, 70 to 80 per cent of dogs and cats show signs of dental disease. Dr. West will talk about the signs of dental disease in pets and ways to help their teeth and gums stay healthy.

Everyone is welcome. Admission is free, and refreshments will be served. For information, call (902) 566-0589.
