Come out to the discussion on the challenges that women face in academia. This event is for all students and faculty members at UPEI. This town hall is inspired by the hashtag #Immodestwomen (check it out on Twitter) started by Dr. Fern Riddell as a response to the negative backlash she experienced on social media about using ”Dr” in her Twitter handle, and a recent piece in University Affairs, revealing that women are still outnumbered in the higher ranks. At this town hall, notes will be taken and a brief written by the GSA to provide to UPEI leaders. Friday, June 22, 12-1 pm Faculty Lounge, Main Building.
