Join Dr. Paul Amyotte to learn about "Process Safety Concepts for the Prevention of Major Accidents". Dr Amyotte, Ph.D. P.Eng. is a former president of Engineers Canada as well as the CD Howe Chair in Process Safety, and a professor at Dalhousie University. He will be speaking on Thursday November 24th from 2:30-3:30 in SSDE 128A. Concepts include: safety culture, inherently safer design, dynamic operational risk management, and total costs from accidents, drawn from the 1984 Bhopal disaster.
