Girls in grades 7 to 9 are invited to a science retreat on Friday, April 29 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Activities include a design challenge, exploring biomechanical testing and 3-D printing, building a spectroscope to learn about stars, and performing chemical experiments. Girls will also meet female role models who are working or studying in the science, engineering, and technology fields. This 3rd annual Girls Get WISE (Women in Science and Engineering) retreat will expose girls to hands-on science activities and careers so that they can make informed decisions about subject choices in later school years.
