Design Evolution, Testing and Certification of an Ultra-Long Range Business Jet: Structural Dynamics and Aeroservoelasticity Perspective
Dr. Fidel Khouli obtained his PhD in Aerospace Engineering from Carleton University and his MEng and BEng from the University of Toronto and McMaster University respectively. In June, 2009, he joined Bombardier Aerospace as one of the lead engineers in Core Engineering - Structural Dynamics and Aeroelasticity Group to work on the design and the development of the Ultra-Long Range Business Jets the Global 7000 and 8000, a position which he still holds. Presently, he is also a part-time faculty member at Concordia University, Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering where he teaches graduate courses in Helicopter Flight Dynamics and Fixed-Wing Flight Performance. He has several publications in prestigious technical engineering journals. His research interests are in applied mechanics, adaptive structures, smart materials and mechatronics with emphasis on applications to aerospace and maritime engineering systems in the harsh environment of the Arctic.
