UPEI EMBA and the PEI Business Womens Association Speaking and Networking Event: 'The Glass Cliff: A Look at Women in Leadership Roles'.

The UPEI Executive MBA program in partnership with the PEI Business Women’s Association is hosting a presentation/networking event on April 4th titled "The Glass Cliff: A Look at Women in Leadership Roles". Karen MacDonald, a UPEI EMBA candidate and senior manager within the PEI Provincial Government, will share her research findings on the implications and barriers for women breaking through the glass ceiling. Karen will discuss the nature of precarious positions, implications for women seeking leadership positions, and whether a new concept, coined the “glass cliff”, actually exists. This session is aimed at business women that are either in or are considering taking on executive level positions. The event will be held on Wednesday, April 4th from 5:00-7:00 pm in Schurman Market Square, located in McDougall Hall on the UPEI Campus. The first part of the evening will include a reception and time for networking and the second part of the evening will include the presentation and an informal discussion.
