The Observer XT is an integrated software system for collection, analysis, and management of observational data. It supports the entire research process, from the design of observational studies and coding schemes, through collection of behavioural data, to the analysis and presentation of results. More than just a manual scoring platform, The Observer XT facilitates easy integration of eye tracking, physiological, and FaceReader data with scored behavioural events on a single timeline to synchronize all data streams for extensive analysis.

FaceReader automatically analyzes facial expressions and provides an objective assessment of a person’s emotion. Using live video, recorded video, or still images, FaceReader automatically finds the participant’s face and classifies it as one of the universal emotions: happy, sad, scared, disgusted, surprised, angry, or neutral. Participants of all ages can be assessed in FaceReader, from infants to older populations. Additional modules allow for detection of action units, heart rate estimation, and mouth movements such as talking or chewing.
