World Diabetes Day

World Diabetes Day is November 14th. We are conducting a screening clinic on November 14 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the UPEI Health & Wellness Centre, 2nd floor, Murphy Centre North (above the bookstore).
Taking the CANRISK survey can identify if you are at higher risk of having pre-diabetes or type 2 diabetes. Anyone can take the survey at: http://www.diabetestest.ca/ or drop by the health centre and see a Diabetes Educator Nurse from 1-4:00 on November 14th. We can do a blood glucose level and provide you with results immediately and it's free of charge.
All Islanders 40 years of age and older should be screened for diabetes on a regular basis.
