As per the campus Energy Guidelines electric space heaters can represent a fire hazard when used to supplement central heating. They also consume significant amounts of electricity. They are not permitted on campus except as authorized by Facilities Management. As such:

· Only space heaters approved by Facilities Management shall be used on campus. Personal space heaters are not allowed.

· Portable space heaters not authorized by Facilities Management will be removed.
