The UPEI Department of History wishes to inform the campus community of the sad news that Dr. Joanne Veer, the first female member of the Department, passed away May 8, 2017. The Department extends its condolences to her family, friends, and colleagues. Survived by her husband, Conrad, Dr. Veer taught in the department for many years and was known for her dedication to her students. No visitation or funeral by request. View the obituary
