Come join us for some or all of Social Justice Week at UPEI! A series of events, films, discussions, displays, interactive exhibits, and performances to get us all to think about what social justice means and how we can move together towards a more just world for more people.

  • Thursday, November 17, 6 pm, Main Faculty Lounge: public talk, “Two Spirit Identity & Resilience” with John R. Sylliboy
  • Friday, November 18, 4 pm, Chaplaincy Centre: Jams for Justice, public concert “Concert for Comfort”
  • Sunday, November 20, 5:30 pm, McDougall 242: Mawi’omi Centre film screening, “Angry Inuk”
  • Monday, November 21, 4:30 pm, Dawson Lounge (Main 520): Dawson Lounge conversation series, “The Social Construction of Gender”
  • Monday, November 21, 7 pm: Duffy 135: Cinema Politica film screening, “The Yes Men Are Revolting”
  • Wednesday, November 23, 10:30 am to 12:30 pm, Student Centre: “What is Social Justice?” -- displays, exhibits, and an “outrage tree”
  • Wednesday, November 23, 4 pm, The Wave: “Rants and Raves”
  • Thursday, November 24, time and place TBA: Students Protecting Animals film screening, “Cowspiracy”
