AIRS Workshop: "Singing, Song & Community"
Singing impacts lives in positive ways from birth until senior years. Focusing on how families, schools, and communities can benefit from singing and song, the Advancing Interdisciplinary Research in Singing (AIRS) project is hosting a workshop entitled “Singing, Song & Community”. This event will be hosted at the UPEI campus (SDU Main Building, Faculty Lounge) on Friday, July 22, 2016, from 1:00 to 4:15 pm. The workshop will feature a keynote address by Professor Rachel Heydon from the University of Western Ontario, which will be followed by brief presentations from community members and student researchers.
Refreshments will be provided, and this event is free of charge and open to anyone who would like to attend. We look forward to a lively interchange and hope that you will be among those attending!
If you are interested in attending, RSVP to acohen@upei.ca, or Hailey Arsenault, airs@upei.ca, 902-566-6023.
