We have an opportunity to have a 1 day training on Hazardous Material Management on campus. This training would include procurement guidelines for hazardous materials (chems, etc.), regulations, best practices, storage & chemical segregation, facilities, proper use of flammable cabinets, proper labeling & transporting, spill prevention and then there will be a hands on component including visiting chemical storage & waste areas, auditing current practices & learning specifically how to inspect these higher risk areas. 

If there is enough interest expressed then this training will take place Thursday, June 23, 8:30am-4:30pm by Atlantic Environment Training. The cost of this course will be covered by the Health and Safety Budget.

Please dress appropriately for working near chemicals including full foot coverage, long pants & safety glasses.
