SYNAPSE invites the campus community is invited to a Lunch and Learn presentation called "The Role of Entrepreneurship in the Present-Day Canadian Economy" by Julia Deans, Chief Executive Officer of Futurpreneur Canada on Thursday, March 10, 2016.

Julia Deans is the CEO of Futurpreneur Canada (formerly the Canadian Youth Business Foundation), the only national non-profit organization providing financing, mentoring and support tools to aspiring business owners aged 18-39. Futurpreneur Canada and its 2700 volunteer mentors and other partners have helped almost 9,000 young people launch start-ups in Canada. Julia joined Futurpreneur Canada in January 2013 with a track record of success in the corporate, entrepreneurial, non-profit and public sectors. She started her career as a lawyer, practicing law with Torys LLP in Toronto and Hong Kong before creating a successful legal recruitment business in Singapore.
