Canadian Blood Services is excited to be on campus once again this year to offer a more convenient way for students and staff of UPEI to donate. If your department would like to receive promo for future events held on the campus please respond with a mailing address where we can send and how many posters or pay stuffers you would like. 

 

The next clinic is Thursday September 24th  from 11-3pm in the Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre and there are currently 87 appointments left to be filled. There are several ways to schedule an appointment.

This year we are excited to add to the clinic an opportunity for everyone to Get Swabbed and join the OneMatch Bone Marrow and Stem Cell network.  We will have a booth set up at the clinic where you can join and potentially be the one match for someone currently waiting for a transplant. This is new for us to offer this and we have set a modest goal of adding 50 new registrants at this booth.  If you cannot donate you still may be able to join, come and check out the booth!! 

 

We are also looking for some volunteers to assist us on campus at these events so feel free to direct anyone or any group interested in this send me an email!!

 

Also The UPEI Panthers Men’s Hockey team has signed up as a Partner for Life pledging 20 units of blood annually on behalf of players, family & friends.  If you would like to support them please join them as a member of their team on www.blood.ca/partnersforlife using the ID number UPEI1949081.  Once you register then any donation you give throughout the entire year will be counted toward this goal.
