A new website has been developed to assist entrance students in finding the award opportunities that are available to them. All incoming students from high school who apply by March 1 are automatically considered for academic based scholarships, and there are also a number of awards that require students to submit additional application material. These awards can be based on such criteria as program of study; leadership, extra-curricular, athletic or community activities, or also financial need. The new Entrance Award Cycle website, found at http://www.upei.ca/studentlife/entrance-award-cycle, enables students to clearly identify the awards that require separate application, most with a deadline of March 1. Staff and faculty are asked to share this site with any students or community members who may be interested; feel free to direct any inquiries to the UPEI Scholarships and Awards Office at (902) 620-5187 or scholarships@upei.ca.
