Members of the campus community are invited to attend two presentations on September 30 by Dr. Barry Smit, SSHRC Gold Medal winner for 2013 and international leader in research on the human impacts of climate change. Although Dr. Smit’s research area is within the social sciences, the advice and information that he will present will be applicable to any discipline. In two interactive sessions, Dr. Smit will share his expertise on the following topics: 1) Leading and Managing Interdisciplinary Teams - 11:00 am-12:00 pm in Main Building's Faculty Lounge 2) Securing Research Funding & Preparing Effective Grant Applications - 3:00-4:00 pm in Main Building's Faculty Lounge, followed by a “mix and mingle” session and refreshments from 4:00-5:00 pm.
