Join UPEI Student Affairs in their lounge to watch Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's TED Talk "A Danger Of a Single Story" on Wednesday, October 15 at 4:30 pm. This talk begins by telling a story about what the speaker would write about as a child. She would write stories that were similar to the foreign stories she would read, which depicted children that looked nothing like her. When she found African stories, she realized that people like her could be involved in the stories. If we hear or read stories about a part of the world, we tend to perceive that part of the world as the stories describe those places.
