Canada's Anti-SPAM Legislation (CASL) came into effect this July and everyone at UPEI needs to be aware of the implications in the event that we need to change some of our practices. Some of these issues have been part of the conversations around privacy, and our response to respecting privacy, but there are additional steps we may need to take. The Privacy Office has prepared a page of information to provide UPEI staff and faculty with an initial opportunity to become familiar with CASL, and also who they can contact when they have questions.
