Practical Person-Centred Strategies: Working with Individuals with Dementia April 24 & 25 - Charlottetown May 23 & 24 - Summerside This two-day, interactive, hands-on workshop will enable participants to: • have a greater understanding of dementia • explain the stages of dementia • use practical interventions for various dementia-related behaviours • use practical strategies for navigation of activities of daily living • clarify assumptions and dispel myths • explain what is “normal” aging vs dementia • experience what it is like to live with dementia • help with understanding caregiver stress and how to get support Course fee: $549 + HST A special fee of $275 + HST is available to family care-givers of individuals with dementia and seniors (60 years of age and over).
