The Atlantic Veterinary College will no longer be staffed by Security Attendants, as of September 9, 2013. Following that date, security needs at AVC will be responded to by UPEI Security Officers on a priority-dispatch basis. Security response to non-emergency requirements at AVC will be limited and departments should adjust their operating procedures accordingly. Facilities Management (Security Services Division) has been in consultation with AVC administration and departments regarding this change and will continue to work closely with them to ensure the transition is as seamless as possible.
