Dear members of the campus community, On behalf of the University of Prince Edward Island, I would like to inform the campus community that Dr. Juergen Krause, Associate Professor in the School of Business and Director of the Centre for Health and Biotech Management Research, has been appointed interim Dean of Business, effective immediately. Juergen Krause earned his master's degree in chemistry and his PhD degree in biochemistry from the University of Konstanz, Germany and completed postdoctoral studies at the University of Chicago. Before moving into education, he spent 22 years in the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industry, successfully championing and leading global company initiatives, a number of industry/university collaborations, and alliances with other industry partners. Dr. Krause joined the faculty of the UPEI School of Business in July 2008 as an associate professor, teaching graduate and undergraduate courses, and conducting research in the field of health and biotech management.
