Welcome to the beautiful University of Prince Edward Island campus for the PEI 2023 Canada Winter Games—we hope you visit again soon!

During the two weeks of the PEI 2023 Canada Winter Games (CWG), the UPEI campus will come alive with the sounds of competition and the excitement of participants.

UPEI is a committed “Bridge Builder” partner of the 2023 CWG and is proud to be home, from February 18–March 5, to the Athletes Village, Mission Services, Polyclinic, Transportation Services.

UPEI will also serve as the competition venue during week one for wheelchair basketball, male hockey, ringette, and, during week two, for badminton, and female hockey. Wheelchair basketball and badminton will take place in the UPEI Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre gymnasium while hockey and ringette games will be played at MacLauchlan Arena.

The University will remain open for regular operations during the Games so we encourage visitors to drop by the UPEI Bookstore in the W.A. Murphy Student Centre to pick up UPEI and Canada Games merchandise.

Prospective students are invited to visit the Student Experience Hub at Dalton Hall to speak to one of our Admissions/First-Year Advisement team or visit upei.ca/apply.
