Explore the Atlantic Veterinary College!

Perspective students and alumni can join us for a guided tour on the first Saturday of each month. Our tours kick off at 10 a.m. and require advance registration. Walk-ins or unregistered visits are not permitted. Each tour is led by one of our students who can accommodate up to 15 people; larger groups will be divided into two smaller ones.
If you would like to arrange a tour outside of regular hours, such as in the evening, we will do our best to accommodate you, depending on our student tour guide availability.

Please note, the public is encouraged to attend our open house in September rather than booking a private tour. 

How to Book

Contact us at avcspecialevents@upei.ca or call 902-566-0589 with the following details:

• Primary contact name and the names of all participants
• Email address and mobile phone number
• Preferred tour date 
• University program or high school grade level (if applicable) or
• Year of graduation from AVC
• Total number of participants

Tour Guidelines

• Photography and video recording are prohibited in the teaching hospital and areas with animal patients.
• Closed-toe shoes are required.
• Each tour will take approximately 1-1.5 hours. 
• Children under the age of 12 are not permitted on tours. However, families with young children are welcome to attend our annual open house in September.

Upon Arrival

Tours will begin in the lobby of the Atlantic Veterinary College. Upon registration, we will provide you with a campus map and directions to help you find us. You'll also receive detailed contact information in case you're running late or need assistance finding your way. You will also need to answer a screening question before you are able to attend a tour. This will be included with the map and contact details.
