| Background: | In 1998, Mr. Preston MacAskill of Brackley Beach, PEI established the Preston MacAskill Bursary Fund at the University of Prince Edward Island to assist needy and deserving undergraduate students. Mr. MacAskill passed away in 1999, and supported this bursary in perpetuity through an estate gift to UPEI. Two bursaries will be awarded annually to two deserving full-time, UPEI students of good academic standing. |
