Background: | Debbie Flood was the amazing mom to Shaylene and Kalen and loving mother-in-law to Brandon and Kaitlyn. She was also the happy Nanny to her grandchildren. Debbie passed away on May 31, 2023 and besides her children and grandchildren she left behind her mom, Rose, sister, Cheryl (Mike) and nieces Brianna and Olivia. Debbie graduated from the PEI School of Nursing in May 1989 and had a long career working most often in the area of mental health and addictions. She loved the sun, beach, dancing and singing along to loud music. That is how she would want others to live their lives and remember her. She was loved by many and respected as a wonderful advocate of those who benefit from mental health care. In June 2024, the family and friends of Debbie decided to create an award at UPEI to honour her life and the amazing legacy she has left in Prince Edward Island Nursing. |
