Background: | Judy Profitt is a life-long Prince Edward Islander, having been born in Charlottetown. Professionally, she is a retired Speech-Language Pathologist. She holds a Bachelor of Science (Biology) from Mt. Allison University and a Master of Science (Speech Pathology & Audiology) from Ithaca College, Ithaca, New York. Judy continues her family's legacy of supporting multiple charities including those that protect and enhance the environment, assist individuals medically, and contribute to the lives of companion animals (large and small) and our Island wildlife. Judy and her late husband, Ron Hughes, are indebted to AVC for the exemplary care their beloved Shih Tzu's received. Both "Brackley" and "Bristol? required delicate surgery and the Veterinarians at the Atlantic Veterinary College were instrumental in obtaining successful outcomes. Because of Judy's belief in higher education, her respect for AVC, their expertise and compassionate care, she has established this scholarship to support our students. |
