| Description: | Granted on an annual basis to a student in the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program at the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) who is normally a resident in the Atlantic Provinces and has demonstrated interest and/or commitment to equine medicine, intends to engage in external elective(s) outside of Atlantic Canada in the area of equine medicine, and/or has an interest in pursuing an equine internship. If there are two or more equally qualifying candidates, preference will be given to a student who is normally resident in Prince Edward Island. |
| Background: | In April 2018 the Atlantic Veterinary College, in consultation with the anonymous donors, decided to designate the donors? general unrestricted support to establish two new awards for AVC students. |
