Dr. Michael van den Heuvel, an environmental scientist based at the University of Prince Edward Island, is playing a lead role within the internationally acclaimed Canadian Rivers Institute (CRI), which, in the lead up to World Rivers Day on September 25, is releasing a report highlighting its first 15 years of achievements.

She will give a writing workshop and a public reading. Dr. Mercer’s reading will be on Tuesday, October 4, at 7:30 pm in the UPEI Faculty Lounge, SDU Main Building on the University of Prince Edward Island campus.

This gifted storyteller will read from her new work in a Winter’s Tales presentation on Tuesday, October 11, at 7:30 pm in the UPEI Faculty Lounge, SDU Main Building.
