The University of Prince Edward Island congratulates Chief Brian Francis of Rocky Point, PEI, on being appointed to the Senate of Canada. He is filling a PEI seat that has been vacant since the Honourable Libbe Hubley retired from the Senate in September 2017 and will be sworn in on Tuesday, October 16 in Ottawa.

U SPORTS, the national governing body of university sports in Canada, gives special recognition to student-athletes across the country with an academic standing of 80 per cent or better.

UPEI announced today that Amy Connolly and Ryan Anstey will be inducted into the UPEI Sports Hall of Fame at its UPEI Sports Legacy Celebration on November 15.

UPEI recently held a ceremony to recognize the recipients of the 2018 Distinguished Alumni Awards and the 2018 Inspiring Young Alumni Awards.
