| Atlantic Veterinary College

The University of Prince Edward Island is proud to announce that Dr. Caroline Ritter, Assistant Professor of veterinary epidemiology at the Atlantic Veterinary College, has been appointed Canada Research Chair (CRC) specializing in veterinary social epidemiology. Dr. Ritter is also the recipient of a John R. Evans Leader Award (JELF) from the Canadian Foundation of Innovation (CFI).

The University community was saddened to learn of the passing of retired accounting professor Albert “Ab” Ferris, who died on December 3 in Charlottetown, and extends its deepest condolences to his family, friends, and former colleagues and students.

UPEI announced that effective December 7, 2020, it will move back to an essential services model and suspend in-person classes for two weeks due the restrictions announced by the PEI Chief Public Health Office on December 6, 2020.

The Associate Vice-President of Students and Registrar issued a message to students on December 6, 2020 via their @upei.ca emails to advise them that in-person classes have been suspended effective December 7, 2020 until December 21, 2020 because of the additional restrictions announced by the PEI Chief Public Health Office.
