The PEI 2023 Canada Winter Games Host Society formally announced the University of Prince Edward Island as a Bridge Builder partner at a sponsorship announcement on November 24. Island Coastal Services Ltd. and Irving Oil were also announced as sponsors of the event that will take place in February.

Dr. Aitazaz Farooque, interim associate dean of the UPEI School of Climate Change and Adaptation recently attended the 2022 United Nations Climate Change Conference (or Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC), “COP27.” It was the 27th United Nations Climate Change conference, held from November to 18, 2022, in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.

Against the backdrop of St. Peter’s Bay, the Honourable Bill Blair, the Honourable Ginette Petitpas Taylor, and the Honourable Lawrence MacAulay launched the National Adaptation Strategy at UPEI’s Canadian Centre for Climate Change and Adaptation on November 24.
