UPEI and CUPE 1870 marked the ratification of a new collective agreement with a ceremony and cake on June 23. The University reached an agreement with CUPE 1870 following 3.5 days of bargaining in May.

Adults on Prince Edward Island who are living with Type 2 diabetes and do not currently have a primary care provider are invited to participate in a research study evaluating a new approach to delivering diabetes care.

The L.M. Montgomery Institute’s 17th biennial international conference, titled “L.M. Montgomery and Change,” is taking place on the UPEI campus from June 24 to 28.

Over 25 people participated in a Lunch and Learn on campus on June 19, in recognition of National Indigenous Peoples Day, which is observed annually on June 21.

UPEI is again collaborating with the University of Toronto’s Temerty Centre for AI Research and Education in Medicine (T-CAIREM) to offer a one-week summer program that will introduce 30 high school students to artificial intelligence (AI) in health care.
