Holland 250 Lecture – Tonight at UPEI

A well-known geographer, historian and author will present the fourth in a series of free lectures presented by the Samuel Holland 250 Commemorations Committee on Thursday, May 14.
Stephen J. Hornsby is Director of the Canadian-American Center and Professor of Geography and Canadian Studies at the University of Maine. Originally from southern England, Hornsby received his MA from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, and his PhD from the University of British Columbia, where he was a Commonwealth Scholar.
Hornsby has published extensively on the historical geography of northeastern North America and the Atlantic World.
UPEI is a proud partner of the monthly lecture series commemorating Samuel Holland’s survey of Prince Edward Island. Tonight's lecture will be held at 7 pm in Room 242, the Alex H. MacKinnon Auditorium, in Don and Marion McDougall Hall at UPEI.
