Ms. Lesli Bisgould, BA, LLP will present her lecture—"Power and Irony: Why Animals Have No Legal Rights in Canada—Yet" as this year's Thane Campbell Lectureship in Law on Friday, October 4 at 1:30 pm in the Alex H. MacKinnon Auditorium (Room 242) in Don and Marion McDougall Hall.
Ms. Bisgould has been practicing law since 1992, focusing on animal law and animal rights. She is also an adjunct professor at the University of Toronto’s faculty of law where she teaches a course on animals and the law. She is the author of Animals and the Law (2011), a Canadian law textbook published by Irwin Law.
